Reservations:

Reservations are suggested in all cases. So that we may better serve you, reservations are confirmed upon receipt of your reservation deposit and the completed Reservation Form. To reserve Paddlecraft for a Saturday the full rental fee must be sent as deposit. To reserve Paddlecraft for week-day use we require a deposit of $10/craft. To reserve a campsite, the first nights fees are required as deposit.

If you are organizing a group, we have created a Group Organizers
Worksheet that is very helpful in cataloging who is going with you, who
has paid you what, what type of craft each person wants to paddle, etc.
You can download this printer-friendly form here Group Leader
Organization Sheet
.

Cancellation Policy:

On Sunday through Friday trips, if a situation arises and you need to cancel some of the craft you've reserved, the deposit for those canceled will be credited toward the balance due. If the trip is completely canceled, the deposit will be refunded, less a $20 processing fee. Our policy for cancellation of Saturday reservations is that cancellations are accepted up to 7 days prior to the trip date, however, there is a $15 charge for each craft canceled. Cancellations received within 7 days of trip will not be refunded if we are rented out and have turned other guests away. If we are not rented out, we employ the policy for cancellations received 7 or more days prior to the trip date.

Assumption of Risk:

As does any active outdoor recreation, paddling a river includes elements of risk. We discourage anyone impaired by medication, drugs, or alcohol to go on any of our trips. Pregnant women need to consider their physical condition, paddling skills, and risk level on the Pine River. We expect the group leader to convey our policies to those who are in his/her party who may not be coming into our office to receive our policies. PRPC does not assume liability for personal injuries or accidents. Group Leaders sign a waiver and release form prior to the trip.

Courtesy Along the River:

PRPC and WBCL want your Pine River or Big Manistee River adventure to be a safe and happy one. Please use common sense and good manners while on the river. The great majority of the property along the rivers is public, either State or National Forest. There is, however, some privately owned property along the way, and it is important that you do not stop on Private Property. Please maintain the "Quiet" river experience.

Conditions of the USFS River-Use Permit

The USFS River-Use Permit prohibits water balloons, styrofoam packaging and coolers, glass containers, and firecrackers in paddlecraft.
